“I always believed that decoration is as necessary as music, try to imagine a world without music; you could experience the same feeling in a world without decoration. I think this is the right occasion to break the boundaries of design and to explore a new realm where to apply a new decoration to.” These the words by Barnaba Fornasetti, set designer of the first theatrical production by Italian brand Fornasetti, Don Giovanni by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

The surrealism made of oddity, intriguing female faces and playing cards takes the stage: the opera resumes the original manuscript and the orchestra plays ancient instruments, in a very ambitious mise-en-scène.

In theater on 10, 12 and 13 of January at Teatro della Pergola, Florence, during the days of Pitti Uomo.
