Today’s NET-ting club post comes right from knitting world!
AnOther Magazine talks about love for knitwear crossing the art world, too. So we thought to show you some artists working with the knitting materials or concept, they’re stunning!
WE LIKE:
-> Dimitri Tsykalov
Russian artist Dimitri Tsykalov has created a collection of knitted credit cards. each of the pieces seem to be unraveling, the colors woven into the works ending in a ball of yarn on the floor. the dying bank cards are a symbol of the relative stability of the financial market the world once knew steadily becoming unhinged.

-> Sissi
-> Ernesto Neto
In 1994 Neto’s grandmother and great aunt taught him to crochet. Moving on from knitted scarves to knitted atmospheres, Neto creates biomorphic environments which alter your relationship to time, space and gravity. Entering them, you become a child again, crawling through plushy labyrinths or knitted wombs. And yet being in the belly of the maternal beast, there is a sense of tradition, wisdom and lapsed time.
