Yayoi Kusama‘s (b.1929) exhibition at Moderna Museet [Stockholm] is called In Infinity. It’s related to her obsessive way of express her mental disorder, a world to discover and where losing oneself, in infinity.
Kusama’s unique imagery springs from the hallucinations she’s experienced since childhood: with her mirror rooms and endless polka dots surfaces, the visitor becomes oneself part of the artwork.
The exhibition was already displayed at Louisiana Museum of Modern Art [Copenhagen], and in Oslo, at Henie Onstad Kunstsenter. In Stockholm will be on till September 11th, and on October 7th will open at the Helsinki Art Museum. Don’t miss it out!
